On the wet and muddy Saturday morning, after the huge
rainfall on previous night, smart club conducted its 404th session
in the premise of youth initiatives. On march 22nd (i.e. on World
Water Day), Smart Club was conducting its session on its home for the second
time.
Mr. Manish Khatiwada, the coordinator of today’s session
started the first session with the introduction of Smart Club and defining why
we have gathered today. During the introduction round, we could listen most of
the participant introducing themselves as
great fun of Nepalese cricket team and ladies sharing their recent cross
with Parash Khadka, the captain of Nepalese cricket team which has recently
participated in the world cup held in Bangladesh and won matches against Hongkong
and Afghanistan.
The pre-decided speaker Mr. Suraj Raj Pandey spoke on the
topic “Nepal’s Journey to World cup”. He explained the history of cricket and
its initiation from Rana Regime. He gave every detail of every matches Nepal
played during qualification round for the world cup. He presented the detail
record of every glorious matches Nepal won. He concluded his speech wishing Nepali
cricket a good luck. During question answer round, on a question raises “Nepalese
cricket team has no such facilities from government, even they played so well,
what may be the reason for it.” Mr. Pandey replied, our player plays for nation
not for money.
The self-decided speaker, who is the winner of today’s
session, Miss Dipshikha Neaupane gave a speech on “Smart Club a world in itself”.
During her speech she defined Smart Club as a platform where changes begin. She
stated Smart Club as new family which has given her new inspiration. According
to Miss. Nepaupane Smart Club is a platform where every perspective and opinion
is given importance. She adds, Smart Club helps in exploring our self. She concluded
the speech saying, “Smart Club always makes me a new me.” On a question asked,
“Why is Smart Club so special?” She replied Smart Club made me realize that if
I can speak and on a question asked about negative aspect of Smart Club. She
says sometime we get de-motivated by the comments.
The impromptu speaker Mr. Bishnu Rokaya was given topic “If
I were an animal?” by the coordinator. During his speech he in sighted us as a
generation of apes. He says, if he was an
animal, he would bring all the animals together and fight for their rights. In
his speech he showed a great concern on how we are sluttering innocent animals
in the name of culture and religion. We are using animals in the name of
cultures and religions. We are using animals to fulfill unvested interest. He
also suggested human being to learn from animals to live peacefully. He also
claimed that if he was an animal, he would teach a great lesson to humanity.
Coordinator Mr. Katiwada stating a quote “Person who criticizes
you has a heart to help you”, called the first commentator Mr. Bishal Shrestha
who suggested PDS to present the data in more meaningful way. The commentator
of SDS, Miss Kashya Adikari gave an insightfull comments on speech by Miss.
Neaupane and gave a score of 7.5 out of 10. Miss. Praveena Shrestah pointed out
the problems on pronunciations and suggested the impromptu speaker Mr. Rokaya
to coordinate the hand movement according to speech.
Grammarian Mr. Ananta Thapalaye pointed out the grammatical
mistakes. Mr. Rabindra Bhandari the Aaha counter of the day presented the data
on aaha, unusual pauses and repetition of words by every role takers. Miss.
Gyanu Ghimire presented about the time taken in every section of the session.
The observer of today’s session Miss. Ojashwee Acharya praised
Smart Club and promised to be regular on Smart Club. The OCA of today’s session
Mr. Saurab Bhatta summarized the overall session and gave suggestion and comments
to every role taker. He wrapped up the session suggesting to bring new
approaches of commenting and performing the role.
