Rapporteur's Report

On 1st February, the 397th session of smart club was commenced by Mr. Nabin Rayamajhi as the coordinator on the premises of the PIC Hall in Hotel Yak and Yeti. It was the Monthly Finale and the theme of the month was "TV Episodes". With a record-braking 105 attendees in the 8 years of the history of this program launched by Youth Initiative, the session was extremely informative, thought provoking and also disciplined at the same time.

The session started with all the attendees standing and singing the national anthem, which was followed by the introduction round. After that, the coordinator listed out the names of the three speakers, their respective commentators and the other role takers as well.

The first PDS was Ms. Kashiya Adhikari, who gave an informative talk on the topic "Anime".She started her speech by sharing her experience of her running home from school to turn channel number 57 and watch "Pokémon”. Following that, she gave a brief introduction as well as history on her topic and then went to its present condition. She also provided her opinions on how animations could also be created by the Nepalese which would be much appealing to the children. She tackled the questions properly.

The second PDS was Ms. Shahara Bhetwal with her opinion oriented and a bit comical speech on the topic "Influence of TV episodes". She gave a good introduction to her topic and then listed out the advantages and the disadvantages of English, Nepali and Hindi TV episodes. She was able to articulately tackle the questions.

The third PDS for the session was Mr. Deepak Bhandari with his speech "Economic Benefits from Television Episodes" which was an informative speech. He commenced his talk by giving an introduction to TV episodes and then went to the direct and the indirect impacts of TV episodes. He also emphasized on how production of TV episodes could help boost the economy in the form of taxes, spending, etc. He tackled all the questions that were asked to him.

After the three sessions, the voting round took place and then the commentators were called one by one to comment on their respective speakers' speeches. The commentators commented on the manner and the matter part of the speakers. They were confident and gave justice to their role.
After the commentator finished with their comments, the grammarian Md Saif was called to the stage in order to grammatically analyze the session. He was confident and listed out the grammatical errors and also advised the respective role takers ways to make less mistakes while speaking. The grammarian was followed by the Aah Counter who counted the number of unusual pauses in the speeches and then the time keeper was called on the stage to review the time taken in the session for different activities.
Finally, before the session formally ended, the coordinator ended his role and called upon the OCA for today’s session. The OCA, Ms. Shiksha Neupane commenced her speech and first gave an advise on management to the CCT. After that, she critically analyzed the whole session, commended the positive parts of the session and also pointed out some minor loopholes to work on. She then ended her analysis and the session was formally ended by the CCT.
Overall, it was a great session and it was a great way to start a Saturday morning.
